Alexander Mittag in brief.
Alexander Mittag (born 1987, born and raised in Delmenhorst) is an administrative civil servant and has been a member of the Delmenhorst city council since 2016. Since around 2021 he has been chairman of the SPD council group.
Trained at the Delmenhorst city administration, he today works for the State of Lower Saxony (Office for Regional Development). He is also chairman of the supervisory board of Stadtwerke Delmenhorst GmbH.
On 25 October 2025, Alexander Mittag was unanimously nominated by the SPD Delmenhorst as candidate for Mayor in the direct election on 13 September 2026. Documented priorities are the economy, a liveable city, schools, affordable housing, social cohesion, a more modern administration and more green spaces.
